ABOUT THIS TRIP:
This Retreat is for women interested in prioritizing their wellbeing. Whether you are experiencing a major life change, career burn-out or loss of a loved one.
ABOUT THE RETREAT CENTER
This Retreat is a unique vacation rental property on the Caribbean Island of Aruba. Inspired by the tropical villas of Southeast Asia, its design artfully blends cozy interiors of the Main House with a large tropical garden that surrounds it, opening the house to majestic rock formations set within a lush landscape adorned by a natural cave, two swimming pools, and seven waterfalls.
There are many vacation homes in Aruba, but none is like Bali Retreat. When you pass through the hand-carved teak door of the retreat, you leave behind the hoards of sun-burned tourists, tacky restaurant chains, and gaudy beach resorts of the Caribbean, and emerge in the exotic paradise of Southeast Asia.
As you take a stroll among the awe-inspiring, million-year-old granite boulders looming above you, by the picturesque pools with crashing waterfalls, and under the lush canopy of tropical foliage, the enchanting, whimsical ambience will make you feel as if you were magically transported to the faraway kingdoms of Thailand or Malaysia, or perhaps to one of the idyllic islands of Indonesia.
If you seek rest and relaxation, you’ll discover that nothing quiets the mind better than floating in the Garden Pool listening to the clamor of the waterfalls, reading a book under rustling palm trees while suspended in one of the hammocks in the Hammock Cove, meditating between two giant rocks in the Meditation Hollow, writing your journal in the tranquility of the Garden Lounge, gazing at the stars in the Sky Bed, taking a break from the afternoon heat in the cool Buddha Cave, or showering under a full moon in one of the open-air bathrooms with only the tropical song of cicadas as the backdrop.
If you wish to invigorate and strengthen your body, you can swim in the Indoor Pool under ancient Buddha statues protruding from an imposing rock wall and two waterfalls cascading into the lap pool’s crystal waters. You can work out in the open-air gym, play volleyball or badminton on the white sand Beach Court, practice yoga or Zumba in the Yoga Pavilion, engross yourself in a game of chess in the Giant Chess Nook, play ping-pong in the Table Tennis Alcove on a custom-built table, or enjoy a game of billiards in the Main Hall.

Watamu combines the relaxation of a tropical beach holiday
with the sense of adventure experienced on wilderness safari. Building has taken place on the small footprint in the forest that was cleared for utility use by the previous owners. No trees were cut down in the process. The unique building style of using local materials to create a direct connection with nature was perfected by Sala Terrena Creative Construction, and it complemented the recycled hand-blown glass from Kitengela Glass and Anslem’s Hot Glass.
In 2014 the pool and yoga studio were added, and Treehouse became a year-round boutique hotel and retreat center. In 2017 Treehouse started hosting other teachers’ retreats as a core-business. In 2018, a second yoga room and massage room were added to meet the demand. And so it continues…. .
“Whether you are an adventure junkie or looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway, once you arrive you will never want to leave the Watamu Treehouse. Amazing rooms immersed in nature, delicious food that is healthy and catered to the individual, and the friendliest staff that welcomes you like family. I can say this was my first rooftop sunset looking out over a vast jungle and beautiful beach while watching monkeys jump from tree to tree below me. There should not be another location topping Watamu Treehouse on your bucket list.”
- Marcus, San Francisco, July 2018
This week of will be filled with soul liberating experiences. We retreat to reconnect, to restore balance and to renew the senses. We give from a soul level in great respect, we are of service to those around us no matter upbringing or location. We are yogis. These insights help you connect with your life purpose. You receive one-on-one attention from powerful practitioners who have previously traveled a similar path as you. ABOUT THIS TRIP:
Druidism can be described as a shamanic religion, as it relied on a combination of contact with the spirit world and holistic medicines to treat (and sometimes cause) illnesses. They were said to have induced insanity in people and been accurate fortune tellers. Some of their knowledge of the earth and space may have come from megalithic times. Druidism is thought to have been a part of Celtic and Gaulish culture in Europe, with the first classical reference to them in the 2nd century BC.

The Kintyre Peninsula is an area of outstanding beauty. It is off the beaten track but only 1-1.5 hour’s drive from the tourist hot-spots of Inveraray and Oban. ABOUT THIS TRIP:
Enjoy a 5-day retreat. This wellness has so much to offer. We will explore Temples. Visit the local villages, national parks, float down the river, visit the elephant sanctuary and a food tour for those who love to eat!
Your Thailand wellness retreat journey will start in Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is a superb choice that won’t let you down.
ELEPHANT JUNGLE SANTUARY
You'll begin each day with a nutritious breakfast and a wellness activity at your hotel.
After a breakfast and wellness class at your hotel, travel through beautiful Thai landscapes en route to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. The Sanctuary team will introduce you to their elephant welfare programs, the natural habitat and behaviors.
Elephants are always searching for food and to satisfy their hunger you will feed them with different kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables. Next, immerse yourself in a mud bath with your new gray friends. After playing with the pachyderms, refresh with a shower and dinner of delicious Thai food, freshly cooked by the team.
RIVER CRUISE ADVENTURE
Embark on a relaxing tour to Wat Chai Mongkok Pier to start a cruise of the Mae Ping River by local long-tail boat. This river shows its true rural identity as the city view will be replaced by scenes of wide water and green trees. You will see traditional wooden houses interspersed with modern residences and colorful scenery while witnessing the local lifestyle along the river banks.
On your tour, you'll stop in at a traditional local-style teak wooden house with a vegetable and fruit garden. Agriculture remains Thailand’s largest source of income and here you’ll discover the basic elements-rice, local herbs, fruits, and fishing-all thriving in a chemical-free environment.
Enjoy a locally-prepared lunch and then stop in at a fresh food market to see the abundance of crops grown in this fertile area. From the market, take a 3-wheeled trishaw, in Thailand called a Samlor, along Tapae Road, through the city wall gates into Chiang Mai historical old town, passing ancient Buddhist temples, along Rajdamnern Road to see the Three Kings Monument before having lunch.

ABOUT THIS TRIP:
Vietnam is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Vietnam's history is one of war, colonisation and rebellion. Few years back since the savagery and slaughter of the American War, this resilient nation is buoyant with hope. It is a country on the move: access is now easier than ever, roads are being upgraded, hotels are springing up and Vietnam’s raucous entrepreneurial spirit is once again alive and well as the old-style Communist system gives way to a socialist market economy. The country have transformed from one of the poorest in the world, with per capita income around $100, to lower middle income status within a quarter of a century with per capita income of over $2,000 by the end of 2014. It's colour, chaos and natural beauty bring a new adventure every day!
